Marriage Mentoring Network (MMN) is a nonprofit organization co-founded by Mrs. Esenam and Dr. Joy Kwakuyi, aimed at supporting and strengthening Christian marriages by connecting younger married couples (mentees) with experienced, mature couples (mentors). Through a virtual platform, couples will meet once a month for three months, engaging in structured conversations, sharing experiences, and receiving biblical counsel on marriage.
Our co-founders, Dr. Joy & Mrs. Esenam Kwakuyi, have known each other for almost 30 years and have been married for the past 22 years. By the grace of God, and by virtue of having grown up in the same hometown and in churches together, they do have a really fulfilling marriage. However, they also discovered that there are times when they encounter challenges that overwhelm their ability to resolve. So several years into their marital journey, they decided to appoint a mature Pastor as a mentor, whom they would reach out to anytime they face an overwhelming situation and need clarity on how to proceed. Over the years, this mentoring relationship has been such a lifeline and a tremendous blessing to them that they decided to establish Marriage Mentoring Network as a global platform that will make it possible for other couples to also benefit from the support of more mature married couples. According to Dr. Joy Kwakuyi, “See MMN as the guardrails on a highway - a next level support if everything else fails, including the couples’ own efforts, the help of loved ones, and the intervention of the church.”
